The House System
Core Values
At Durga Prasad School, every pupil and staff member is assigned a house. The House system creates competition, promotes good work and behaviour, encourages teamwork, provides opportunities to take on responsibilities and brings everyone in the school together. The House System is designed to incorporate the values and ethos of the school and aims to be an integral part of our school community. Once assigned their house, students will wear a badge of their house colours to indicate which house they belong to. This will develop of social solidarity; where students feel a sense of belonging to something within their community.
House Captains and Vice-Captains
At the beginning of the academic year, each house will join together to vote for their House Captain and Vice-Captain. This is a democratic process that is richly embedded within the school community. Students have the opportunity to have their voices heard through our Student Council, student questionnaires, meeting with the Headteacher and through being a Head Boy or Head Boy.
